Though still an important port city today, in medieval times it was considered to be one of the most largest and busiest ports in England. Bristol is also home to many museums and theatres. Explore Bristol’s Harbourside by ferry or a stroll along the waterfront. It is an attractive modern development filled with restaurants, bars and shops. The host family was lovely, I got on really well with them. I kept in contact with them too. While I was there they offered me lovely English food, a comfortable bed, and helpful information. Loved them!
