Looking for cultural trips for your students? Considering visiting England and introducing your students to the British culture? A short trip to the UK could be beneficial to their cultural awareness and improving their English level whilst having a great time with their peers.

How to find a trip to the UK?

When looking for trips for students, organisation is key. Making sure travel arrangements, breaks and accommodation are well planned is crucial to the success of the trip. Finding cheap flights to London or Bristol is fairly easy and can seem a cheap option at first. However, an all-inclusive package offers peace of mind as the organisation in charge of the package will be responsible for transport, tickets and making sure the trip run smoothly.

Things to bear in mind:

1. Currency: GBP, or commonly known as pounds, is the official currency in the UK . If you’re travelling to the any destination in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, it’s recommendable to bring some local currency with you. However, most places in the UK accept card, so bringing an international credit or debit card such as Visa or Mastercard is also a good idea.

2. Train tickets: Train tickets can be quite expensive if not booked in advance. Therefore, we suggest you book the tickets as soon as possible or leave this to the travel organiser who will be able to get better fares.

3. Passport: Both European and ID cards are accepted at UK borders. However, we recommend bringing your passport as you will be able to go through the automatic gates.

4. Student card: Most European student card are accepted in the UK and can get you discounts in restaurants, cinemas, transport and even clothing shops! So, if you have one, make sure you bring it with you.
